Primitivo di Manduria Riserva
The top of the range: twelve months in French oak barrique give Primitivo di Manduria ripe fruit, vanilla and a long, toasted finish.
Characteristics
Description
The Riserva comes from a selection of the best grapes of the harvest: after fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel, it ages for twelve months in French oak barrique.
The colour is a ruby red with garnet hues. The nose opens on ripe red fruit, plum jam, balsamic notes and vanilla.
"95/100 from Luca Gardini: tension on the palate and a savoury-saline tannin, the top of the range."
On the palate it is dry, warm and soft, with spiced nuances and a toasted, persistent finish.
