Negroamaro
The grape variety most identified with Salento, vinified in red to express its full intensity: deep colour, lively tannin and Mediterranean character in every sip.
Characteristics
Description
Negroamaro comes from a gentle pressing that precedes fermentation in steel, together with a fifteen-day maceration on the skins and eight to ten months of ageing in barrel.
The colour is an intense ruby red. The nose reveals deep, well-defined aromas of red fruit, while the palate is intense, soft and balanced, with a steady flavour progression.
"Salento in a glass: intense, earthy, uncompromising."
The finish is composed and clean, keeping alive the fruity notes that mark the whole tasting.
