Primitivo
Pure Primitivo from Salento: hand-harvested at full ripeness and aged twelve months in barrique for a warm, full and persistent red, with notes of coffee and ripe red fruit.
Characteristics
Description
Primitivo comes from grapes hand-harvested at full ripeness, fermented at a controlled temperature and aged for twelve months in oak barrique, which round out its structure without covering the fruit.
The colour is a deep ruby red with violet hues. The nose opens on toasted and coffee notes together with ripe red fruit, while the oak leaves a spicy touch.
"Warm, full, Mediterranean: Primitivo in its most direct expression."
On the palate it is warm and round, with a toasted, persistent finish that recalls the red fruit of the harvest.
